When you walk in Faith by His Spirit, you see everything, everything, everything, everyone, everyone, everyone that enters your life, as being put there by God. Absolutely nothing is random. Our eyes and senses react to situations according to our own understanding, instead of defaulting to the attitude that the Almighty God is in control. This holds true even above the fear of evil:
I will fear no evil, for You are with me.
If then everything is ordained by God, then while we walk with Him there is no fear of evil! Here’s the key to Christianity: Walking with God. This area of complete dependence of God is so key that it’s the one area where the enemy does attack: Our Faith. The moment we stop walking with Him is the moment the evil one has won. The root of sin is when our heart strays from God. Whatever happens after that point is just a symptom of the earlier failure to be faithful to Him in our hearts. Want some good advice? Here’s some from the a man who God blessed with wisdom more than any other human, Solomon:
Above all else guard your heart, for it is the source of life.
If you’re trying to walk the Christian life and keep tripping, don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s because you didn’t keep up with your bible plan, or pray enough, or go to church bible-study last week. Don’t think that a 10-week course will fix you, or that keeping a strict spiritual schedule will put you right with God. It won’t. You have one thing alone to fix. Drop everything, and seek God with all your heart. There’s a reason why that’s the first commandment! Eventually that might mean you do all of the above, but don’t bring insult to God with your perfunctory, heart-detached spiritual motions. That’s worse than not seeking Him at all. If you’re serious about finding Him, He will make sure you succeed.
“You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart.”
